When Jani tries to save his beloved treehouse in the forest from being cut down, his family is being torn apart at the same time.

His mother is going through a gender-affirming transition, his father is struggling to understand, and Jani himself is fighting hard to hold everything together.

He finds an unexpected ally in a fox, but as the conflicts deepen, Jani must face both jealousy and loneliness. In the end, he discovers that both family and forest can grow in new ways, through invisible threads that connect what at first seems to be falling apart.
